Denali Sampler 2
3 days / 2 nights

Is your time at a premium? This tantalizing mini-tour takes you to the majestic mountain that defines Alaska and the abundant wildlife that thrives in Denali National Park, aboard Alaska Railroad's Denali Star Train or upgrade to the stunning Gold Dome.

Itinerary

Day 1: Anchorage to Denali
Journey between the mountains of the spectacular Alaska and Talkeetna ranges on an incomparable sightseeing experience aboard the Denali Star train or the luxurious Gold Dome. Take in the wide-open scenery as you travel through the Matanuska Valley, a farming region known for mammoth vegetables; past colorful towns like Wasilla, billed as the "Home of the Iditarod;" and along scenic rivers like the Susitna, which means "Mother River".

 

By mid afternoon, you arrive in Denali National Park. Here, you can choose from a wide range of optional activities like river rafting, helicopter flightseeing, or horseback riding. Overnight in Denali.

 

Day 2: Denali
Today you have the entire day free to relax at your hotel, or take one of the many park excursions, such as the 7 hour Tundra tour, or the 12 hour Back Country Adventure, or any number of other road, air or raft tours we offer. Overnight in Denali.

Day 3: Denali to Anchorage
Take time this morning to choose from one of many complimentary park-sponsored activities and optional Denali tours including: guided hikes plus white-water rafting; fixed-wing flightseeing; and horseback riding. Later, re-board the Denali Star train for your return trip to Anchoarge. .
