Day 1 Saturday - Perth.
Settle in to your hotel on your arrival in the stunning Western Australian capital of Perth. The afternoon is yours to explore this vibrant and welcoming city. Perth offers some of Australia’s best beaches, beautiful inner city parks and wonderful outdoor dining. Or visit colourful Fremantle, the Perth Mint and the Swan Bell Tower. OVERNIGHT: Perth.

Day 2 Sunday - Perth, Kalgoorlie.
The day begins at Kings Park with a decadent champagne breakfast overlooking the city and magnificent Swan River. Then board the train for the start of your unforgettable rail cruise and later in the day, join a renowned astronomer for a captivating talk about the stars. In the evening, The Southern Spirit arrives at the colourful mining town of Kalgoorlie where you’ll experience a taste of the mining culture this town is famous for, including a trip to the Super Pit. Day 3 Monday - Nullarbor Plain, Cook.
Travel across the vast Nullarbor Plain, a truly unique Australian Outback experience. Enjoy a short stop in the isolated community of Cook, where you can meet the locals – all four of them! Back on board, enjoy poetry readings on the Australian bush, before indulging in a distinctly Australian dining experience as we cruise toward the South Australian border, en route to Adelaide. Day 4 Tuesday - Adelaide.
This morning The Southern Spirit pulls into your next port of call, Adelaide. Check in to your hotel then head out to explore Adelaide and beyond with one of our exciting excursions, such as a flight and 4WD adventure to The Flinders Ranges, the North Adelaide Heritage Walk or a trip to historic Hahndorf. Or set your own pace, and take in the sights of this elegant and civilised city at your own leisure. OVERNIGHT: Adelaide. (B)

Day 5 Wednesday - Adelaide.
Today is yours to spend as you please. Take advantage of the myriad of excursions on offer such as, swimming with wild dolphins, or Riesling the Day Away in the Clare Valley. Or simply visit Adelaide’s museums and galleries, indulge in some retail therapy or simply relax at one of the many al fresco restaurants and cafés. In the afternoon you’ll be transferred to The Southern Spirit for your overnight journey to Melbourne. OVERNIGHT: The Southern Spirit. (B, D)

Day 6 Thursday - Melbourne.
Today brings the excitement of a new destination as The Southern Spirit makes its morning arrival into cosmopolitan Melbourne. Once “ashore” you’ll be transferred to your accommodation and can spend the remainder of the day enjoying the local sights and sounds on one of the excursions such as the vibrant Queen Victoria Markets or a Yarra River cruise. OVERNIGHT: Melbourne. (B)

Day 7 Friday - Melbourne.
This morning continue exploring with one of our excursions, perhaps the Lanes and Arcades tour, a trip to scenic Daylesford or the Mornington Peninsula. In the afternoon we visit the Melbourne Zoo and discover the lush tropical environments of the Asian and African rainforests. The botanic garden setting provides a relaxing atmosphere for an exclusive dinner function surrounded by over 320 species of animals. Then re-board the train for the overnight cruise to Canberra. Day 8 Saturday - Canberra.
Arrive in Canberra, the nation’s capital, where you’ll have a gourmet buffet lunch, before enjoying your choice of the included activities. Explore the National Gallery of Australia, home to over 120,000 works of art, view one of the world’s best collections of war relics at the Australian War Museum, or take a private, guided tour of Parliament House, before being transferred back to The Southern Spirit for dinner. Day 9 Sunday - Canberra, Sydney.
Today you’ll cruise through the spectacular Southern Highlands before arriving at Moss Vale, where you can choose from two included activities. A walking tour to Jersey Lookout to view Fitzroy Falls. Or visit The Bradman Museum, honouring Australia’s greatest cricketer. Enjoy panoramic views over Lake Illawarra and a high tea of pastries and desserts. Arrive in Sydney in the late evening and transfer to your hotel. OVERNIGHT: Sydney. (B, L)

Day 10 Monday - Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley.
After breakfast, return to The Southern Spirit and enjoy morning tea as we travel through the picturesque New South Wales countryside. Later in the morning we arrive at the Blue Mountains, where you can choose from two included activities: the Zig Zag Railway or the Jenolan Caves, among the finest cave systems in the world. Re-board The Southern Spirit for our onward cruise to the Hunter Valley, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel. OVERNIGHT: Hunter Valley. (B, L, D)

Day 11 Tuesday - Hunter Valley.
Enjoy the morning in one of Australia’s most picturesque regions, taking in the stunning scenery or indulging at a health spa. In the afternoon join a winery tour and sample the region’s world-class wines over dinner. This evening you will be transferred back to The Southern Spirit for our overnight cruise to Coffs Harbour. OVERNIGHT: The Southern Spirit. (B, D)

Day 12 Wednesday - Coffs Harbour.
In the morning we arrive at the scenic north coast city of Coffs Harbour. The morning is yours to visit the gorgeous beaches and wonderful walking trails. You can also take advantage of the excursion available featuring highlights of the region. In the evening enjoy a spectacular private seafood dinner on the jetty overlooking the Pacific Ocean, before retiring to your hotel. OVERNIGHT: Coffs Harbour. (B, D)

Day 13 Thursday - Brisbane.
After breakfast meet The Southern Spirit for the last leg of our cruise to Brisbane. Enjoy the day relaxing on board, socialising with guests or simply watching the spectacular scenery pass by as we cross the border into the Sunshine State of Queensland. In the evening, we reluctantly say farewell as The Southern Spirit completes its journey in the vibrant city of Brisbane. (B, L, D)
