About Russia
Click on the pictures below for more information on tours and trips.
Russia, the largest country in the world, covers 6.6 million square miles. The USA is just over half the size of Russia and the UK one seventieth. Covering twelve time zones, Russia stretches from the Baltic to the Pacific and from the Arctic to the deserts bordering the Caspian Sea. To put the vastness of Russia into perspective, as the sun rises in Moscow it has already set on the lands bordering the Bering Sea.

Many have tried to explore this mysterious and closed country, and for countless years we were left with intrigue and wonder as to the delights it has to offer. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union there has been a resurgence of interest in Russia's pre-soviet past. From figures such as 'Catherine the Great' to the stringent communist regimes of leaders such as Lenin and Stalin, Russia is steeped in history and culture. With Russia changing so rapidly, it is an immensely exciting and rewarding time to visit and draw back the veil on a part of the world surrounded by myth and legend, not to mention one of the most remarkable rail journeys our world has to offer - The Trans-Siberian Express Railway.
