Where and when does the Whistler Mountaineer® operate?
Beginning in 2006, the Whistler Mountaineer® has operated between North Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia . This scenic trip will take approximately three hours to complete. The Whistler Mountaineer® operates five days per week.
Is it be a year round service?
The Whistler Mountaineer® operates Thurs-Sun between May and October. As demand for the service builds, we hope to expand the operating season and, ultimately, offer a year round service.

Is it only a luxury service?
The Whistler Mountaineer® offers two types of service, both of which are unique and different.
We offer a capacity of approximately 200 guests on each three-hour Whistler Mountaineer® trip using single level dome coaches and fully refurbished traditional rail coaches with picture windows. The consist pulled by a GP-40 type locomotive.
Both services offer interpretive commentary, meals and beverages and the guest service excellence that Rocky Mountaineer Vacations is renowned for.
Are there vacation packages available to highlight the regions that surround the routes?
While we do not have preset packages, we can customise any Whistler Moutaineer Vacation
