Historic Train to Coos Bay Runs Again
RailsNW happily announces a one-time excursion train operating from Portland to Coos Bay. On July 23rd and 24th the train will explore the scenic branch line that has not seen regular passenger service since 1953. The trip will begin in Portland, navigate the Willamette Valley, traverse the Coastal Range and wind through the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Stops will be made in Salem and Eugene to welcome additional passengers aboard.
