Summer may be winding down, but many rail tour operators are getting ready for the Winter Season. Avoid the heat of summer by booking a journey through the Copper Canyon on the First Class ChePe. The train departs daily, so you can choose from over a dozen itineraries or customize your own to fit your time and budget. As well, both the Sierra Madre and the Expreso Maya luxury trains have itineraries that extend into December in Mexico.
If you are planning on traveling north instead, consider Rocky Mountaineer’s Winter Trains between Vancouver and Calgary in December. With itineraries from 2-9 days, enjoy the serenity of the snow-capped Rockies in both Red and Gold Leaf classes.
