Travel back through time aboard the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad with our 1916 Baldwin 2–8–0, Mountain Thunder, or our historic diesel trains. You’ll climb through the spectacular scenery of the Allegheny Mountains on your turn around location, which can be to Overlook or Frostburg depending on the day. A narrator will be aboard to provide you with information about the scenery, history, and culture along your route.
Mountaiun Limited trains usually depart Cumberland at 11:30 am and get back frm Overlook at 2 pm, except on Sundays when they depart at 1 pm and get back at approxmately 4:30 pm.
Cumberland's Crescent trains to Frostburg run most Saturdays at 11:30 and return around 2:15 pm,where you will have 45 minutes to explore the shops and restaurants along Main Street, or the Thrasher Carriage Museum.
Reservations are recommended on all trains as they often sell out early
